Preparation:

Determine the topic you’d like to focus on for your drawing. For this first drawing, I suggest you begin with a conflict in your life that is top of mind now or comes up for you frequently. You will not need to share your topic with anyone in the class. Example – my husband and I have the same disagreements about money regularly.
Print out the cloud picture you can find it here. If you do not have access to a printer, just bring one extra blank piece of paper for practice.

Supplies:

You can find a list of recommended supplies here, but for this first drawing feel free to use what you have on hand.

Paper: You will need 1 sheet of white paper. Copy paper will work, but you may find something heavier such as cardstock to be easier to work with.
Black marker: a fine-point Sharpie will work, though as I say on the supply page, I prefer my 1.5 Pitt Pen. Test your paper. If the marker bleeds through the paper, you may want to protect your writing surface from the ink.
Colored pencils or a few highlighters. Crayons will not work because the wax in the crayon resists the marker.
