By the time you reach Step #5—adding field lines—you may be feeling exhausted. Tired of sitting, tired of drawing, and for many, very tired of rounding. This can be a problem because field lines and affixing are crucial to achieving the outcome you’re seeking. Let’s explore why.

Field lines: Connecting to Source

Field lines represent our connection to, alignment with, and support from Source. This energy guides us as we grow and transform. Pavel Piskarev describes field lines as initiating synchronicity between Source and your topic.

When we draw field lines, they initially appear to float above the composition, as if existing on a separate plane. However, rounding these lines into place integrates them fully into the drawing. This step is essential. While field lines symbolize Source energy, rounding them ensures we are truly in sync with it. Think of rounding as grabbing onto these lines and riding their momentum into your future.

Affixing: Anchoring Your Insight

Affixing represents the new energy or insight gained through the drawing process. It is the focal point, the pinnacle of the composition. Every drawing begins with a question or a need, and the affixing represents the resolution.

To highlight its importance, the affixing should have the widest border and stand out clearly. It also must be fully incorporated into the drawing with generous rounding. A well-integrated affixing strengthens your composition and your connection to the insight it represents.

A helpful tip: At least one field line should be incorporated into the affixing. After all, when Source energy supports your solution, it becomes even more powerful.

Rounding Guidelines: Harmonizing Your Drawing

Rounding should always feel natural, as if the lines belong together.

Thinner neurolines require smaller rounding.
Thicker field lines need bolder, more substantial rounding.

My students will tell you that I always encourage “juicy” rounding—especially for bold field lines and affixing. These elements should be anchored firmly into your drawing, making them feel integral—because they are.
